How to install R32 GTR seats in your S13

Hey guys, here's another little article showing you my way of adapting R32 GTR bucket seats for your S13. As most of you know from other sources, these seats are pretty much bolt on, except for one rear hole that doesn't align with the welded nut on the s13 chassis floor pan.

The way to adapt it is pretty simple, first off start on the driver side and grab the passenger side seat (since it's a JDM seat). Start by cleaning the rear left mounting tab with a wire brush.

Next go place the seat inside the vehicle and bolt down the 3 bolts that you can.

Now go ahead and grab a piece of flat steel bar, doesn't really need to be very thick, mine was a 14Ga. You then shape it to fit inside the original mounting tab of the seat. Make it long enough to go a little over the welded nut that's in your floor pan.

Measure where the new hole should be drilled in order to have it line up with the floor mounting point.
Place it over the seat tab and check a few more times to make sure it's spot on!

When you are ready, go ahead and tack it in with the seat installed.
Take the seat out and finish the weld all around.

Go ahead and paint it with some rust resistant black paint.

When you're done, let this one sit and proceed to do the same thing on the passenger side of your car (driver side jdm seat).

Pics with the seats installed will be up soon.
Thanks!
